I was never really good at drawing or sketching when I was younger. And this is probably one of the things that I wish I were able to do. There are a lot of things that you can do with sketching. Basically, capture real life things and interpret it unto paper – give it your own form, show it in your perspective and basically just interpret what you see on paper.
And because Manila Workshops saw the need to help develop this talent in Kids, we, together with Young Advocates, is presenting “Basic Sketching” Workshop wherein children will be taught a variety of drawing techniques with an experienced teacher.
About the Teacher
Jennifer Villanueva is the founder of Young Advocates a non-profit environmental arts organization incorporated in the year 2000, and successfully conducted a series of art workshops and camp for kids five years and up. She is also a member of Bahaghari ng Malolos, and Lakn Sining, both an arts groups based in Bulacan. In the past she has worked as an Assistant Editor of Parents Magazine, under Belgosa Publishing and as a News Writer for RPN 9 News Watch & News Cap. She is currently working as a freelance copy writer and artist for corporate clients, while she takes care of her baby, Cassey Hunter.
Basic Sketching Workshop will be held on November 8 (Saturday) from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Mothercare Podium Branch, 3/L The Podium Mall, 18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
Workshop fees are as follows:
Early Bird Rate: PHP 900 (paid by October 25, 2014)
Regular Rate: PHP 1,000 (starting October 26, 2014)
Group Rate: PHP 800 per participant (group of 3 or more participants)
Last day of signing up and payments will be on October 30, 2014. 🙂
For the guardians and companions who wish to stay during the workshop, there will be additional PHP 100 fee for food and drinks.
